GUERNSEY U18 SQUAD CELEBRATING WITH THE JUNIOR MURATTI TROPHY

GFA Appoints Under 16 Representative Manager

Following the departure of Jordan Kelly at the end of the 2023/24 season, the Guernsey FA (GFA) has now concluded the process to appoint a new Under 16 Representative Manager, with Cayden Tardif appointed to oversee this age group for the 2024/25 season.

Tardif will be supported by Jason Leaman, Darren Cooley, and Jason Tardif.

GFA Chief Executive Gary Roberts, commented that:

“After a thorough review of the GFA High Performance and Representative structure and, having identified how we want these age groups and teams to develop in the coming years, we reached an agreement that Cayden was the right person to lead the Under 16 Representative age group for the 2024/25 season. Cayden has accumulated a lot of experience in local football and also through coaching in the GFA Academy and supporting various GFA Representative teams in recent seasons. This experience, combined with the experience and skills of the coaching support team, provides confidence that this group of coaches is aligned with our aims and ambitions for this age group.

Guernsey football is entering an exciting new chapter with the fantastic new Victoria Park facility set to open early in 2025, and the appointment of a new coaching team for the Under 16 Representative group is another element of the GFA’s plans to ensure that we have the right people in position to support the development of Guernsey’s most talented players, along with achieving success on the pitch.”
